Grandma’s Coffee Story
Grandma’s began its little operation all the way back in 1918. Quickly, this cozy little spot became the primary place to relax, have sip of coffee and chat with friends. Throughout the generations, Grandma’s has perfected the best natural methods of growing and processing the same Arabica strain of coffee on the slopes of Haleakala, at an elevation of 3,000 to 3,500 feet.
Everything is done authentically; they pick the beans by hand, pulp the cherries, dry the beans naturally, hull the beans, and then roast them. Moreover, the coffee is grown without exposure to any chemicals or pesticides. This creates tasty choices including espresso, cappuccino, latte and mocha. Indeed, it’s the coffee, combined with the atmosphere and that homemade cuisine has made Grandma’s Coffee House a popular local gathering place.
Located at 9232 Kula Highway, Grandma’s Coffee House is open 7 days a week, from 7am to 5pm and opens for dinner Wednesday through Saturday 5pm-8pm.
